Our Services

Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County Inc. offers, for your convenience, several “Package Selections” which are available as follows but do not include casket, outer burial container, opening and closing of grave, cemetery fee, death certificates and obituaries.

A. Traditional Funeral Service

This charge includes the use of our staff:

facilities, and equipment for:

• Basic service of funeral director and staff
• Local removal of remains
• Embalming
• Dressing, casketing and cosmetology
• Viewing at the funeral home (up to one day)
• Funeral Ceremony
• Funeral coach, clergyman’s/lead vehicle, flower vehicle, administrative vehicle
• Bereavement package (register book, funeral service folders and acknowledgement cards Included

Director and Staff. Our charge includes consultation with the family or responsible party; staff and facilities to respond to initial requests for service; coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased; securing official documents and necessary registrations and sheltering of the deceased. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation, immediate burial and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Other accommodations considered in this service fee are:

• Newspaper notification
• Veteran ‘s Benefit Assistance
• Acknowledgment to sender(s) of floral offering(s)
• Notification to Social Security
• Coordination with cemetery/crematory officials
• Notary Services
• Insurance claim assistance
• Death certificate filing and procurement

Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you refuse embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement, which does not require you to pay for embalming, such as a direct cremation or immediate burial.

When embalming is not chosen, the alternative of refrigeration affords you to delay disposition, A refrigeration fee will apply when an unembalmed body is to be held in our facility.

Other Preparation of the Deceased Includes bathing, hairdressing and haircuts, cosmetology, dressing and placement of the deceased in the casket. Acknowledging that each of us has our own choice of clothing, hairstyles, and makeup, every effort will be made to comply with your wishes regarding these choices.

C. Premiere Cremation Funeral Service

This service uses our RENTAL CASKET and includes

VIEWING, a FUNERAL CEREMONY and CREMATION.

• Local removal of remains
• Basic services of funeral director and staff
• Embalming
• Dressing, casketing and cosmetology
• Viewing at the funeral home (up to one day)
• Funeral Ceremony
• Crematory and transportation to crematory
• Flower vehicle (to local address)
• Administrative vehicle
• Rental casket with required fiberboard container
• Bereavement package Included

D. Regency Cremation Funeral and Graveside

This GRAVESIDE SERVICE following CREMATION.

(This charge does not include an urn or urn vault)

• Local removal of remains
• Basic services of funeral director and staff
• Graveside service conducted at a local cemetery
• Flower vehicle
• Administrative vehicle
• Transportation of remains to cemetery included
• Crematory and transportation to crematory
• Crematory container
• Cemetery fee and Opening & Closing of grave not included

E. Bellaire Funeral Service

This is a MEMORIAL SERVICE at Riley Funeral Home.
